When peace like a river attendeth my way.
When sorrows like sea billows roll.
Whatever my lot, thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
My sin- oh the bliss of this glorious thought-
My sin, not the part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul!
And Lord, haste the day, when my faith shall be sight.
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll.
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend!
Even so, it is well with my soul.
We sang this song in chapel this afternoon, and as we got started on the first verse, I could feel the excitement (not charismatic, don't worry ;D) building in the auditorium. By the time we got to the second verse, you could have heard 'amen's' and 'praise God's' surrounding the room. It made me want to stop and think of all God has done for me!! Christ, Jesus, died on the cross, for ME. It's a very personal thing. FOR ME!!!! I can even go as far as saying for no one else, just for me!! But then, everyone has the ability to say that. The difference is can you?? Have you taken that step to make Christ's payment personal for you?? The Bible says that all have sinned. I have sinned, you have sinned. "There is none righteous, no not one" Every person has that sin. Have you taken the step to have that sin nailed to the cross. If not, please click here for help to take that step.
