Happy New Years

Well, 2012 is over and 2013 is coming in!!  

My hope for this year is simple.  That it's better than last year!  I spent a majority of 2012 living for myself.  I had one set goal in mind, and even though it didn't necessarily have to be a bad goal, it definitely wasn't the goal God wanted me to set at this point in life.  

And... as everyone knows, since my plans were not God's plans, they didn't work out all that well.  

So again, my hope for this year is that everything I do is only for God's glory.  I know it sounds simple, but for me it's good enough.  

So, I hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve!  We're going over to the church for a New Year's Fellowship.  What does your family do to celebrate the New Year??

Over the past year, I've gotten into quotes.  Just recently I started compiling a notebook with some that I really like or that have been a great help to me.  So then I decided to compile a page on my blog :)  There are only a few there now, but more will come soon :)

Christmas Pictures

Here are the pics from Christmas... unfortunately they weren't very good :(  

 As I mentioned before, about a week and a half ago my back started hurting and then a few days later it started feeling like a pinched nerve... when my grandma was here we did a little research, but we're still not sure what exactly is wrong...  I've been using a heat pad, icy hot, and a consistent dose of motrin.  Not fun, just for anyone who thought about trying it ;)

 My Grandparents stayed at a hotel nearby and the boys enjoyed playing in the pool.

These pics are from a photo shoot we did as part of mom's christmas present :)  It was so much fun to go out and do this together, and mix all our ideas.  There are some duplicates, but oh well... at least they are *somewhat* edited!! ;)

Old Lady Blogger :)

When my family moved back up here while I was still at school they set up my bedroom like such a wonderful family.  I came back and moved all my stuff in, it was wonderful.  The first night I climbed into my bed and it was nice and soft.  The verdict~ two mattresses and no box springs...  no support.  At the moment I thought - well, I didn't think - at the moment, I decided that the two mattresses are more comfortable.  Well... my opinion changed Wednesday... I started feeling a little stiff and old...  my back was aching!!  It has continued to ache... I do feel like an old lady!!  My mom says that she's experiencing sympathy pains!  My brother is trying to locate my box spring, and until then my mattress has been moved to my floor for support.

And our bird (idk what his name is, lol) found a new friend when we put the angel on top of the Christmas tree :) 

Christmas Program

This morning our church put on our Christmas Program.  I had to stay in the back with some of the not so well behaved kids so I have nothing about how the program went.  Others say that it was one of the best that we've put on.  I do know that we had lots of visitors and that four people got saved.  We had a family come and the mom and the grandma both got saved.  And then we had two kids get saved as well.  So all in all it was a great program.
This week Luke and Dakota are going to be gone, Hunter's finishing up his school for Christmas break, and I'm doing stuff around the house.  So it will be quite a restful week before Christmas :)

Officially Winter

Last night the guys went over with Pastor and Christian to chop wood for an elderly lady in the church and Mom, Mrs. Shuster and I all went and visited with Mrs. Hill.  It was a great time and in between the guys working we had a chili dinner, so all in all it was a great time.  When we left, Pastor had left ahead of time and Mrs. Shuster and Christian were following us.  We got to the end of a winding snow covered dirt and looked back and Mrs Shuster was no longer following us.  We turned around to make sure everything was ok and sure enough she had gone into a ditch.  
Of course, I leaped out of the car and started pushing the van out of the ditch, placing rubber mats under her tires for traction and directing her in what to do. It took me about a half hour to get her out.  All the while the guys were standing there watching.  
Well... at least that's the story I like to tell ;)  I don't think anyone believes it!! Lol...
