What Do I Want || Writing Challenge

• Sleep... haha, this week has been wacko! 
• Wisdom and Patience... to get me through wacko weeks! 
• Time... so my weeks aren't so wacko.  Time to clean more, practice more, create more, and do things with family and friends
• A cricut
• One more job... The Lord has been blessing our family with providing us all jobs.  I started a new babysitting job this week, thus the wacko week.  I'm praying for one more small job, tutoring or piano, etc.  
• A car
• A wonderful family in the future :) 
• Warm weather... Spring... no more snow!

How Do I Envision My Life To Be || Writing Challenge

Oh this is my favorite. I love to dream about the future and what my life will be like. Sometimes my mom says I do it a little too much :) 

For the future, I'd envision myself to be married with a lot of kids. Like, seriously, a lot! I want 12, but we'll see how that goes. :) I definitely want to homeschool my children, and as much as I'm able, continue teaching piano as well. 

I've never been "called" to be anything in particular (i.e. A pastor's wife, etc.) but I do envision myself as a pastor's wife. I also have a small desire to have a couple of small farm yard animals (particularly, sheep and goats) but again, we'll see how that goes. 

Most importantly, I see myself desiring to serve God the best I can.

Something I Would Never Get Tired of Doing || Writing Challenge

•Going to church. There are many reasons I love going to church. Some of them spiritual, some of them not so spiritual, haha. Today was a little rough after the surgery but it was definitely worth it when I was able to lead two girls to The Lord. I love working with Colleen teaching the girls' Sunday school class. I love spending time with Arlie and Bailey and Kiley. We had a grand time while everyone was on their buses this morning. 

• playing the piano. I'm sure everyone knows this! Haha :)

• painting my nails and drinking coffee. Random, right? I just had to throw that in with this picture :)

 

•pinteresting. It's the bomb. 

•making friends. Love each and every one of my friends :) 

 

What Made My Day Special || Writing Challenge

Hmmm... Well, yesterday my brothers bought me flowers to cheer up my little recoup area. It was very sweet :) 

Today I'm feeling well. It's nice to spend a day just relaxing and getting caught up on my sleep. Tomorrow, Lord Willing, I'll be able to go to church and then spend the rest of the afternoon sleeping, lol! 

Goals For Next Month || Writing Challenge

• recover quickly! I had wisdom teeth removed this morning and am feeling a little off!  I'm hoping to be back on track by Sunday :)

• spring cleaning. Spend at least an hour a day deep cleaning in different rooms. 

• clean out my closet. Switch out my winter clothes for spring and summer. Hopefully the weather permits!  It was over 40 degrees today, but I didn't get to enjoy it much! 

• meet this little guy:

This is Jesse's baby boy, Timothey Shuster. He was born yesterday morning :) 

• finish planning and have an epic recital on April 1st. 

• go skiing one more time. 

• find an Easter outfit :) ( this one will probably go into April too )

Most Memorable Vacation || Writing Challenge

Ah, this...I'd have to say that I have two of them. 

• 2010 Iowa. Went to Iowa with Colleen and her sister, Kindra to take Kindra to college. It was supposed to be a basic trip, but lo and behold just after crossing into Iowa our car breaks down. Anyway, it was quite an eventful trip :) 

• 2012 Alabama. Visiting the Carsons for a week. It was my first time visiting them after they moved in 2010. We had a great time together and my return trip was equally eventful. It was my first time flying alone and on the way back my first flight was delayed leading to missing my second flight. So I spent the night in Atlanta. Yeah, kinda interesting.  

Something I've Never Done That Most People Have || Writing Challenge

I am going to finish this challenge, someday... Eventually. Lol! 

This one was hard because I wanted it to apply to my readers. There are a lot of things that people have done that I've never done, but not necessarily my readers. 

Anyway... 

•surgeries/broken bones... Until next week!! I am getting two of my wisdom teeth taken out, a minor undertaken, but the first nonetheless. 

•the ability to run easily. Just not my thing :/ 

•learn a second instrument (or language for that matter) I really want to learn the flute! As for the languages, I took Spanish and French in high school but I never was able to get much out of it. I know a little bit in both languages plus ASL :) 

Someone Who Inspires Me || Writing Challenge

I, personally, love this topic! It gives me a chance to brag on those I love! 

- my mom. She has carried our family through many hard times and has done a great job raising us. 

- my grandparents. Ok, let me just say this. Wednesday we we skiing with my older brother and his family and my grandparents. My grandma is in her 70's and skied with us. They are the most epic grandparents ever. And then there's my paternal grandma. She passed away a little over a year ago, and I didn't spend a lot of time with her, but it's her I go to to thank for my godly heritage.

- Pastor and Mrs. Shuster. I love them. Pastor has always been like a father to me, and I know I can go to either of them any time I need help. And I know that they will always take me straight to the Bible. Every time I see them they encourage me, directly or indirectly, to continue serving God. 

-Any pianist. Seriously. Besides God and family, that is my passion. I love music. Let me cut in here and say that Frozen is one of the best Disney movies out there and the music on there is incredible. Now, the genre (Rock, country) is not something I am encouraging people to listen to. I'm talking more about the talent. Goodness, they're good ;)

Someone I Miss 2 || Writing Challenge

This list is somewhat repetitive... I don't really miss anyone new...

~laptops. Mine is still in Shipshewana with my brother and my mom's is in getting work done to it. Meanwhile the four of us are sharing one desktop computer and my phone. It's not to bad except for when my brother has a lot of schoolwork on the computer. Anyway, that's also the reason I'm a little spotty with these posts. Hopefully soon I'll get back to being regular and finishing this series up!  

Someone Who Broke Your Heart || Writing Challenge

Ok... So I'm pretty sure this one is the worst one...

My brother's car... (This is the story of why I've been not posting recently.) 

I was down in Shipshewana this weekend working for the shoe store at a special event with my brother. I was supposed to return home on Saturday. 

I left earlier than originally planned to beat the weather and got about an hour down the road. The roads were good and I was going a steady speed.

Naturally, as is normal in my "Murphy's law" life, I hit an ice patch and went of the road. My first "car accident". I kind of panicked. I called my brother who was still in Shipshewana and he and one of the men from the church came and rescued me! So I stayed in Shipshewana until this morning. Thankfully I walks away with nothing but a cold and the car only needed some brake repairs that were necessarily from the accident. 

 

Something That I Regret Not Doing in the Past Year || Writing Challenge

I find this one to be extremely difficult... I'm not really sure... There are the usual, albeit very legit responses like not having as close of a walk with God as I should have... Not being as good of a witness as I should have... Etc... But I'm trying to think of others... 

• budgeting- up until August of this past summer I was never able to figure out a good budget that I could stick to.  I wish I had started before that point, I feel much more in control of my finances now!! 

•running- but I do have a valid excuse for this one. I had tried to start running this summer and as soon as I did I started experiencing health problems. 

•working on practicing and learning more piano! 

•spending time with my brothers. 

•kept a "journal" of some key points of the year! 

Something That Excites Me and Fills Me With Joy || Writing Challenge

• My future... I'm so glad that God holds my future!  It helps me to have a peace when I struggle with where I'm at.
• Little babies... I love all the little ones that are around!! It seems everyone is having or has a little one!! 
• Music...  Music is honestly my passion... It's my career, my hobby, my ministry, and my pleasure!  If I'm not playing the piano, I will be humming, whistling, singing, or listening to music.  Love it!
• Summer...  summer excites me, I hate hate winter...

Relationship to Food || Writing Challenge

This one makes me laugh... seriously? My relationship to food?  It gives me life each day... this is really weird.  I like food, but I'm not necessarily what one would call a "foodie"  Actually food and I have a shaky relationship, sometimes I can't get enough of it and other times I can live without it... lol!!  its like something I saw on Pinterest... Some days I go without eating and other days I eat enough for myself and half of Africa... lol!!!

Someone I've Always Wanted to Meet || Writing Challenge

I've always wanted to meet my online friends... as I've stated before, I have a lot of them... I mean, like, a lot!  

I've always wanted to meet.... my future husband LOL!  

I've always wanted to meet... the HBBC tour groups... Well, not really meet them, but hear them sing in person.  I've heard GloryBound before and Witness!'s piano player this year is one of my best friends, but I'd love to hear Assurance and Witness! sing!  

I'm struggling with this one...

Someone You Miss || Writing Challenge

Awww.... this is perfect.  After a few days of precious niece time, we took May back to her parents tonight!  It was definitely fun to have a baby in the house again, and we all miss her so much!  

Plus, I miss my grandma... she passed away over a year ago.

I miss quite a few friends... Grace and Rachel, Sarah, my roommates from college...

I miss Christian, the little boy I used to babysit.  

I miss my bed... I've been away from it to long... it's calling my name... 

Something Unusual || Writing Challenge

I can't think of anything unusual... Life is pretty usual...  ummm.....

Tonight was sweet... my niece has been staying with us for a few days and my mom was gone tonight, so I had precious time with May.  She had to have an early bath, and that made her sleepy, so she was cranky through dinner, but after that all she wanted to do was cuddle.  It was so sweet.  She loves to just sit in my lap and snuggle, and I love holding her!  It seems like cuddly babies are few and far between anymore!  She fell asleep at one point and I went to lay her down which woke her up.  After that she still cuddled for a while before rolling over and pulling her blanket over her face to play peek-a-boo.  I think there is nothing I love more than cuddling with little ones, and it's not an every day occurrence! 

The Weather || Writing Challenge

This one is very easy... I can describe it in one word - Cold!!  Ever since the new year, the weather has been up and down.  Right away we had wind chill temps near -30 degrees, and then it warmed up the next week to 30 degrees.  This week it's supposed to be between 10-20 degrees with some windchill and low negative numbers.  

I am not any where near any sort of winter person.  I like it warm, I always have the car turned up as high as it can!   

My Favorite Thing To Do Right Now || Writing Challenge

I almost missed today! That's why everything changed- I wasn't able to get on the computer so I'm doing it on my phone. At least I still did it! :) 

Hmmm... I have a lot of favorite things! Lol!

•Texting and emailing friends! 

•Thinking on how to improve things. There are quite a few things I've been "chewing" on. I guess you could say it's like New Years resolutions, but I've never actually done those, haha!  I've been putting together a rewards program for my piano students and that was fun to think through! I've also been thinking about ways to improve my blog. Do y'all have anything that you'd like to see?? Leave a comment or send me a message!  

• play the piano. It's always my favorite thing to do. When I was a little girl my mom never had to get on to me for practicing, just for not practicing what I needed to practice! 

• watching Jostie Flicks on youtube. Some of them are absolutely hilarious!
